GAA club AGM
Our Lady's Island GAA club will hold their annual general meeting on Friday night, November 16, in Butler's Lounge at 8 p.m. Nominations and motions sheets have been distributed to club members and should be returned to Suzanne Ellard, St Awarie's, Our Lady's Island, Broadway, Co Wexford by Monday, November 12. All players and members are asked to attend along with anyone who would like to get involved in the club in any way, be it as a club officer, coaching the young stars of the future or just to be a member.
The OLI annual pilgrimage to Medjugorie is planned for May 13 for a week. Cost €560 Aer Lingus flights, Bed Breakfast and evening meal in Hotel. Tansfers and local guide included. Seats are limited. There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €15,800. The winning numbers were 5, 16, 24 and 29. There were three match-three winners who received €70 each. The Christmas Tree Lights will be switched on in Duncormick on Saturday, December 1, at 8 p.m. There will be Carols, music and light refreshments and Santa will drop by.
Village Renewal Team
A pubic meeting will be held on Monday, December 3, at 7.30 p.m. in the Railway Social Club. The purpose of this meeting is to inform all residents of the community and interested parties of the planned projects under the town and Village Renewal Scheme.
The Rosslare Harbour-Kilrane Village Renewal Team will unveil a number of planned projects that have been made possible following on from money recieved under this excellent initiative.

Kilkenny, the Rosslare Harbour-Kilrane Environment Group's entry for Rosslare Harbour into the SuperValu sponsored Tidy Towns won the Endeavour Award for Co.Wexford. The group would like to thank and congratulate all those involved linked to achieving this award.
The Environment Group's Christmas Cards will be available from various outlets including Caroline's Cafe, Topaz Garage, SuperValu, Teresa's Shop, Vera Fox or a committee member from next week.
Reminder: A WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) cage only for small Household electrical goods and a container for the recycling of fluorescent tubes is situated at the back of the Railway Social Club. It is open on Saturday Mornings between 10.00 and 11.30 a.m., weather permitting.
The Rosslare Development Association is hosting a public meeting at 7.30 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, at Rosslare Community Centre. Gerry Forde from Wexford County Council will make a further presentation on the coastal erosion and flood prevention project presently being considered. councillor Ger Carthy will also be in attendance.
This is a great opportunity to voice your opinion as a resident or visitor of Rosslare on this subject or any other subject which may be of concern to you. There will also be discussions on traffic congestion, making safe the bridges and possibly introducing a one-way traffic system. The Rosslare Development Association look forward to seeing you all there.
