Kilmore: Ballycogley Players - The group is busy rehearsing and preparing for their upcoming performances in the Jerome Hynes Theatre February 14 to February 16 and on the Drama Circuit with their festival play Dreamland by Jim Nolan.
The group would like to extend their sympathy to member Trish Boyce on the tragic loss of her uncle Joe Sinnott. They would also like to send good wishes to Con Doyle, who is unwell at the moment.

Kilmore camogie club
Happy New Year to all our Players, mentors and parents. Active Retirement news
Kilmore Active Retirement Association has re-fixed its annual General meeting for Thursday, January 23, at 2 p.m. in Mary Barry's. Members and intending members or anybody wishing to gain an insight into our activities will be very welcome at the meeting.
Kilmore Seals had a ding dong battle with Gorey Silvers in the county league on Thursday last in Gorey but had to give best in the end to the Gorey team, by 14 points to 11. Kilmore team was Margaret Howlin, John Foley, Séamus O'Keeffe and Noel Howlin.
Kilmore Gulls will be playing away to Ballagh Blue on Friday the 17th at 2 p.m. also in the county league.
Bowling practice as usual every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Stella Maris Centre, if interested please come on down for a taste of this popular sport.
Lagoons public meeting
A public meeting on lagoons in Co Wexford will take place in the community centre, Our Lady's Island on January 14 at 7.30 p.m.
The meeting will address water quality issues in the Wexford Lagoons Catchment and follows on from consultation on the draft River Basin Management Plan in 2017.
The Local Authority Waters Programme will be undertaking work gain a better understanding of what is happening in the Wexford Lagoons Priority Area for Action. Information on plans for this area will be made available at the public meeting.
This is a new approach to water quality management in Ireland. Come along to the meeting and hear how you too can get involved.

Community Engagement Day
There will be a'stand' in Londis Piercestown from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, January 31, relating to National Community Engagement Day, this stand will be manned by two Wexford Gardaí. Please come along and discuss any issues you may have in or around the community. There will be leaflets handed out on day on various subjects.

CLUB REGISTRATION - Registration for the Piercestown-Murrintown ARA Club is now due in January, still same charge of €20 as in previous years. Anyone over 55 will be more than welcome to join, gets you membership card which covers discounts in some stores, attend our yoga classes and more.
YOGA DAY - Our Yoga classes are back next week January 14 with Niamh Boggan from 2.45 - 3.30, chair and floor yoga available so do come along and try it with us.

The first meeting of 2020 was held on Monday the sixth last in Camross Hall with Mary Kelly presiding. Sympathies were extended to Mary Margt Roche and Berna Cadogan on recent bereavements. Minutes, correspondence and finance were dealt with by Margt Nolan, Mary Nolan and Dympna Kelly.

Our annual Irish Night to raise funds for 2020 Seniors Christmas party will be held in Rochfords Lounge on Friday, March 13, this will be the March Trad Night and not to be missed. Alice Whitty won the competition for the nicest slice of Christmas Cake and Ann O'Gorman and Dympna Kelly served us a delicious tea on Nollag na mBan. A game of 'Fun Bingo' followed the meeting.

GAA club news
The lotto jackpot wasn't won on Tuesday night. Five match-three winners shared €200. The next draw is on January 21 at 8.30. The jackpot will remain at €14,000 till we get a winner but the reserve jackpot will keep going up while we wait. It's now up to €5,000. Please encourage any family or friends living away from the area to support the draw through the online Taghmon-Camross page on the KlubFunder website. The deadline for online sales is at 6.30 on draw night and the minimum spend on the online system is €6. Tickets can also be bought from usual outlets.
The club AGM will take place at the centre on Sunday, January 19, at 3 p.m. Deadline for nominations and motions has now passed (Friday, January 10). Please ensure any nominees are informed if you have put their names forward for club posts.
We are running our Walking to Keep Fit 2020 in conjunction with Operation Transformation! It will be taking place down in the centre every Monday and Wednesday night from 7:30pm-8:30pm starting on Monday January 20.
