Wexford Swimming Club invites you its registration and Swim Assessment evening on August 30, in Ferrybank Swimming Pool from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Children interested should have completed all swimming lessons, be capable of swimming two x 25 mtr lengths of the pool without stopping and be aged between 7 and 12 years on December 31, 2019. The Assessment is for new members only. Please do not contact Wexford Swimming Pool regarding the above registration. Wexford Swimming Club is a privately run Swimming Club. Toddy Moore 10k

Entry for the inaugural Toddy Moore 10k is now open. See our Facebook page for the link. The race takes place on Saturday, September 14, at 5.30 p.m. with a two Mile Fun Run beforehand that kicks off at 5 p.m. Entry online, which includes special race T-shirt is only €15 with on the day entry for the 10k priced at €20.

AOH Hall, Bridgetown

IT Centre open Mon - Wednesday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only €2 per hour for use of a computer. Printing, Scanning, Photocopying and Laminating service also available. To reach us ring 053 9175523 or email bicinfo18@gmail.com. The hall is available for meetings, groups, clubs etc. at €10 per hour. All social welfare forms, drivers licence, pensions etc. available in the office, assistance with filling in same is also provided if needed. All online services, car tax renewal, passport, property tax and all other services are also available.

If members of the community would like to see more services available to them please let us know, we will do our utmost to meet your needs. Please visit our Facebook page Bridgetown Information/Technology Centre, like and share our page to spread the word around to the community and surrounding areas. People of all ages are welcome to avail of our services.

Please note we will be holding Coffee Information Mornings with people giving short talks or give advice on relevant subjects to the community later on in the year following the summer holidays.

We are preparing for the autumn and winter months. Our main aim in the AOH Hall, Bridgetown is to provide activities, services, social items, a range of courses and enhancing IT skills in our IT room.

FIONA FINISHES SIXTH AT NATIONAL SENIORS - Well done to Fiona Kehoe, who finished sixth in the National Senior 1500m at the weekend at Morton Stadium. Fiona ran a time of 4.37.08 minutes in what was a very tactical race, only going through the first 800m in 2.40.

Fiona will be racing again in August in both the 800m and 1500m so we look forward to seeing what she can do.

SENIOR TRACK AND FIELD - Some great results from Night two of the Mr Oil County Juvenile Track and Field Championships in Enniscorthy; Jackie Carthy - second Senior Mile and first Masters 3000m; Michael O'Flaherty - first Novice 3000m; Adrian Reville - first Novice 800m, second Novice 3000m; Rory Cassidy - first under-19 3000m PB; Cian Doyle - first under-17 3000m PB; Cian, Rory, Adrian and Michael - third Senior 4x100m relay

Great to have a large amount of medals returning to Kilmore given the small number of athletes we had competing. Thanks again to Mary, Paddy and John for officiating as ever.

CLUB LEAGUE - The final round of the league is Tuesday, July 6, at 7.30 p.m. The race is one Mile and starts outside Kilmore. Race is for club members only. After the race we will have refreshments and prize giving in Quigleys.

TRAINING - We are now back training. Younger Juveniles training on Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6.30 p.m. in Kilmore GAA Grounds. Older juveniles and seniors start at 7 p.m. Training every Sunday morning at 10 a.m., location confirmed in parents Whats.

COUCH TO 5K - Every Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the Burrow, Kilmore Quay (opposite Sofrimar) we will hold our Couch to 5k Programme. It would be great to see you come along and improve your fitness.

Baby Girls

Congratulations this week go to David and Lisa Cousins, London and Donna and Michael Murphy, Seaview on the birth of two lovely baby girls this week.


Best wishes to Fr Seán Gorman, Ballask, who recently retired from active ministry. We look forward to seeing more of him around Kilmore and we wish him good health in the future.

Horse and carriage run

A horse and carriage run in aid of Wexford Hospice Homecare will be coming to Kilmore next Sunday 18 th August at two o'clock. A great selection of horses and carriages including a four horse team and carriage is expected. They will be stopping for water and a rest at Cousins of Ballask, please come along and support a very worthy cause.

GAA club news

On Tuesday our under-13 footballers play their Quarter Final away to Crossabeg-Ballymurn at 7.15. The under-15 hurlers are out on Thursday night in Clongeen against Cluain O'Rahillys at 7.30. Minor footballers play away against St Mary's of Rosslare in Tagoat next Monday evening at 7.30. Our intermediate hurlers are in championship action against Crossabeg-Ballymurn next Friday night at 7 p.m. in Hollymount. All teams and mentors appreciate your support at these important end of season games.

The lotto jackpot wasn't won last week so the next draw takes place on August 20 the jackpot will remain at €14,000 till we get a winner. Please encourage any family or friends living away from the area to support the draw through the new online Taghmon-Camross page on the Klub

Robert Mizzell will be returning to the community centre again on August 30 after his very successful concert there last summer. Sabrina Farrell will also play on the night.
