Dancing in Carrig Community Centre on the third Friday of every month. Next dance is on Friday, November 15, with Art Supple.
The Men's 'A' won the hard way coming from behind to take all three points. Ferns took the lead after 20 minutes and this proved the turning point of the game when the home side upped their game. Conor Anglim scored a fantastic equaliser from 30 to 35 yards to level the tie. John Staples scored the winner mid way through the second half and the lads chalked up another win.
Hard luck to the Men's B side who lost out on the tightest of margins versus Ferns B. The lads just could not close the gap. This comes after a great few wins.
The Corach ladies began life in division one with a great 5-1 away win in sunny Camolin. The game nearly started with a disaster when influential midfield enforcer Amy Eustace rolled her ankle in a large divot. However, her staying on the pitch proved crucial as she set up three of the goals with great through balls. The first half ended on a 2-0 scoring with both Nessi Niamh Millar and Sal the horse Eustace both on target. Into the second half, Nessi added another before Camolin pounced for their only goal. The final two goals came from Nessi and Sal again to see Nessi get her well-deserved hat trick.
Last week's split-the-pot was won by Ciaran 'blue' Lacey, who picked up €505. Next week's draw takes place in Tír na nÓg, Wellingtonbridge.
