Tribute to ICA
At a recent meeting of Carrig Community Centre Committee, tributes were made to Carrig-on-Bannow ICA guild. The guild was founded in 1964 and ever since, it has been actively involved in our community, having catered for the senior citizens Christmas party each year and also forming the Sunshine Club. The guild held numerous talks, demonstrations and classes in the community centre which were well attended and enjoyed by members and non-members.
However, due to declining numbers over the past couple of years, it is with regret that the guild had to make the decision to close down. The community centre committee thanked the guild for their work and commitment to the parish. It has been much appreciated.

After the recent club AGM and EGM, we still have a significant numbers of officer positions to be filled. The club cannot operate successfully while these positions remain vacant. It puts undue pressure on the people who have volunteered to take officer roles and threatens the viability and future of the club.
The club is pleading with former players, parents and supporters to become more involved with the running of the club.If you are interested in taking a position, or know of someone who is, please contact Nicola at 087 0680511 or Tommy at 086 8151402.
