Ballymore-Mayglass: Mayglass Aldi Play Rugby update. Many thanks to all of the parents, children extended families and people of the parish who have helped us to collect our Aldi Play Rugby stickers.
We have exceeded all expectations in our quest for sticker collection. We are now starting to fill our FIFTH poster of 300 stickers which for a school our size is phenomenal, well done Ballymore-Mayglass parish.
The more we enter, the more chances we have of winning the super first prize of €50,000. So keep the stickers coming for the month of March and let's enter as often as we can. The competition runs till April 7 For our efforts so far we will receive a new kit bag, a set of four rugby balls, bibs and a set of drink bottles which will all go to good use.
As a little maths challenge, see can you calculate how much we have spent in Aldi so far. Each sticker is worth €30. Each poster holds 300 stickers. So far we have completed four posters. You do the maths. Many thanks for your continued support.

The Killinick Project
The Killinick Project in association with Kiely's Centra are distributing a short community survey. We feel it is important moving forward to get the views and input from our local community.
The survey will be available in all the local businesses in Killinick and will also be distributed to your home locally via your letter box. All the completed survey forms are required to be returned to a designated Survey Box in Kielys Centra before April 1. The prospect of several grant receipts and other funding through Wexford County Council and other agencies in association with our local councillor's makes it is imperative that we know what is required by our community in order to grow, improve and enhance the village. We would like to thank Kiely's Centra and look forward to receiving your suggestions and views.

100 years Young
Ballymore man Paddy Wright celebrated another milestone in his lifetime when he was joined with his family and friends at a buffet in the Farmers Kitchen to celebrate 100th birthday.
The main table was suitably dressed for the occasion with a centre piece of a cake with a beet on top an IFA around its circumference. Jamsie Wallace was the main speaker and he read out the letter from the president and officially presented Paddy with his cheque while his son Des spoke on behalf of the family.
Paddy began his working life as a builder with his brother Davy and built houses for the county Council and a number of dispensaries as they were called back in those days before going to Kildare to manage a farm but Ballymore and St Fintan's were always in his heart. Paddy duly returned to purchase a farm of land which he worked for the remainder of his working life.
Paddy met the love of his life Nell Redmond whom he married and were 72 years married at the time of her untimely death some four years ago. Together they brought 10 children into the world but sadly Noel died at eighteen and they also lost a daughter at birth.
Both Nell and Paddy were great GAA supporters with a particular interest in the St Fintan's club and were also great Manchester United supporters on the soccer front. In an era when people are having hip replacements and knee joint surgery Paddy was able to do all this without any of these spare parts and perhaps his Sunday evening drinks in Tony Boggans and then Larkins kept him lubricated.
The music for the occasion was provided by Nick Kinsella and not to be out done Paddy sang three songs one of which was a duet with his granddaughter Katie. Happy birthday Paddy and here's to the next 100.
Congratulations to Biddy Goldsmith and Mark Finn, who got engaged during the recent past. Congratulations to two members of the Wexford Special Olympic club Lisa Redmond, who won two gold, a silver and a bronze and Emma Barrett, who won Gold at the World games in Abu Dhabi.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of the late Ann (Nancy) O'Neill Harpoonstown, who sadly died during the recent past. Nancy was always a great supporter of the bingo in Ballycogley hall. May she rest in peace.
