St Patrick's Park was the venue when the Wexford senior football team took on Laois in a Bord Na Mona O'Byrne cup second round game. Once again the men in the purple and gold suffered defeat and once again by the narrowest of margins when Laois collected a loose ball from a poor kickout from which they scored a late point to take the spoils on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-11. The St Fintan's club can be proud of its representative on the team when Jim Rossitter was a tower of strength in the full back position.
