Ballymore-Mayglass: Ballycogley Bingo New Time - Starting this Sunday, January 12, Ballycogley Bingo will have a new start time of 6.30pm.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with first game at 6.30 p.m. There will be 10 games of bingo, the jackpot game aswell as high/low and wheel of fortune. A great couple of hour fun for all the community.
Operation Transformation walks
St Fintan's GAA Club are thrilled to this year take part in the hugely popular 'Ireland Lights Up' walking initiative in partnership with the GAA and Operation Transformation. The club will host a community walking group two nights a week during the eight-week broadcast period of the hit RTÉ show.
The first date to host 'Ireland Lights Up' 2020 is this coming Thursday, January 9, The walks will take place between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday night for the eight-week period. There will be various tips and advice throughout the eight-week period. The aim is to make exercise more accessible on the dark winter nights and to offer our local community an opportunity to get together and socialise in a healthy way. As this is an organised event, walkers will need to sign in each night before commencing your walk.
Wexford u-20 Football
St Fintan's player Shane Pettit is currently a member of the Wexford County under-20 Football panel. The panel travelled to Carlow for the Andrew Corden Cup under-20 Football round one Wexford V Carlow on Friday, January 3, Round two Wexford V Tipperary is due to be played this coming Saturday the 11th with venue and time not known at time of notes submission but will be detailed in the sports section of this paper.
The Shed will resume on Monday, January 13, and the majority of ladies will celebrate Mollah na mBan with a lunch at Meyler's.
The jackpot now stands at €3,400. Camross Drama Group
First, we would like to wish all our audience members and fellow drama groups a very Happy New Year. There is a Drama Group meeting on Thursday, January 9, in Camross Hall. All are welcome, especially new members.
Cast and crew of 'The Year of the Hiker' have been busy rehearsing, gathering props, costumes, designing sets etc all over the holiday season. The first performance in Camross Hall on Friday, January 31, will arrive quickly.

Well done to the boys and girls of St Fintan's NS, Taghmon, who held a no uniform day recently to help raise money for an orphanage in Belarus. Past pupils Liam Winters and Conor Foley will be heading out there soon and they were delighted to collect a cheque for €340. We wish them well in their venture.

GAA Club news
The lotto jackpot wasn't won in December. The next draw is this evening, January 7 at 8.30. The jackpot will remain at €14,000 till we get a winner but the reserve jackpot will keep going up while we wait. It's now up to €4,700. Please encourage any family or friends living away from the area to support the draw through the online Taghmon-Camross page on the KlubFunder website. The deadline for online sales is at 6.30 on draw night and the minimum spend on the online system is €6. Tickets can also be bought from usual outlets.
The club AGM will take place at the centre on Sunday, January 19, at 3 p.m. Deadline for nominations and motions is this Friday (January 10) at 5 p.m. Please ensure any nominees are informed if you are putting their names forward for club posts.
