Adamstown: Cemetery Committee. Adamstown Cemetery Committee invites applications from tenders for the laying of a new path from the cemetery entrance in the churchyard to the cemetery toilets.
All applications to be submitted to the Hon secretary Liam Whelan in Kellystown no later than March 15.
St Patrick's Day Trad Session
There will be a session in Cullen's Lounge commencing at 9.30 p.m. March 17, music by local musicians. Fundraising in aid of Community Centre Development Fund. Tickets Euro five each, door prizes and raffle.
St Patrick's Weekend Run/Walk
Galbally Sports and Leisure Club will host a 10k run and 5k walk on bank holiday Monday, March 18, The event will begin at 11 a.m., with registration taking place from 10 a.m. onwards. Entry fee is Euro five for the 5k walk and Euro 10 for the 10k run. Both events are open to all ages and abilities. The 10k race will be chip timed and there will be prizes for the first man and woman home. Refreshments will be served to all participants in the hall afterwards. Everyone is invited to come along and get involved in what promises to be a great community event.
Annual Lourdes Ticket Draw
Tickets are on sale now for our annual Lourdes Draw in which we hope to send three parishioners to Lourdes in May. Tickets cost €5 and any household may purchase up to four tickets. Draw confined to Adamstown Parish. Draw will take place on Palm Sunday, April 14. Your support is very much appreciated.

Clonard Guiding Unit.
The Clonard Guiding Unit had a great fun day to celebrate thinking day in the TAG Centre with lots of cooking, crafts, games, face painting, quizzes and songs. This year's theme was making a little change with friendship. March will be busy with hikes, sleepovers, parade and a huge birthday party.
This month's meeting is on Thursday, March 21, at 7.30 p.m. in Coolcotts Community Centre. Ladies make sure not to miss out on this month's amazing speaker, we will have someone from the citizens information come in to talk to us and help us with any questions we may have. 18 members attended Funny Girl Musical on Tuesday last in St Michael's Theatre in New Ross, this was a fantastic production and well done to all the cast, especially Yvette Walsh, who was fantastic, brilliant performance by Yvette. The group enjoyed a lovely meal at the Horse and Hound before going to the show. thanks to everyone who came along.

Taghmon Tidy Towns Group are entering the Tidy Towns Competition 2019. There will be a meeting this Wednesday, March 13, in the Family Resource Centre from 6.45 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The camogie committee would like to say a big Thank you to all who supported our fundraising quiz in the GAA centre. We were overwhelmed with the great turn out, and a great night was had by all. FIRST CONFESSION - Congratulations to our children in second class who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Wednesday last. Many thanks to Ms Duane and Fr Robert for all their work and preparation with the class and to the parents' council for providing refreshments afterwards.
DEBATING - Our debating team, consisting of Amber Hornick, Orla Roche Kelly, Eimear Doyle and Morgan Nash Colfer had a great tusle with Mayglass on Friday last, with honour begin shared. Next up are Rosslare NS in April.
DANCE - Dance classes for all pupils have begun and Anne Marie has been busy putting the pupils through their paces. The classes continue till Easter.
FIREFIGHTERS VISIT - Firefighters from Wexford Fire Station visited the school recently and spoke to second and third class about fire safety. This was very enjoyable event for all.
Our last meeting was held on Monday, March 4, in Camross Hall. Mary Kelly congratulated Dympna Kelly for coming second in the competition of the 'Best Chocolate Chip Cookies' at the Federation Meeting.
Some of the ladies had a most enjoyable visit of Trudy's Catering Kitchen in New Ross. Established in 2000 by Michael and Trudy Power, Trudy's Catering Kitchen supplies a fresh daily selection of bulk and pre-packed salads, freshly cut sandwiches as well as meat and salad platters to the retail and catering trade. This visit was most interesting thanks to Trudy, who shared her passion for her successful caretaking business. The ladies were able to have a go themselves at assembling some salads and were delighted to take home some delicious fresh products.
This month, there was also a visit organised at the Fire Station in Wexford. This was also very interesting, and the ladies who took part in the visit learned a lot about life in a Fire Station. Mary Kelly thanked Breda Banville for organising these two excellent outings.
Michelle O'Gorman from Conscious Body Healing came to talk to us about the great work she does with people with food and body issues (mostly anorexia and bulimia). Michelle is passionate about helping people and she gave us a most interesting talk on the subject. She can be contacted via her website michelleogorman.com.
The winner of the best 'Home made St Patrick's Day Badge' was Dympna Kelly. Mairead O'Gorman and Marian Donnelly served some truly delicious tea and homemade scones.
