'The Year of the Hiker' concerns Hiker Lacey, who has left the family home to take to the roads some years back, returns on a special day in the life of the family he abandoned.

BARNTOWN'S GOT TALENT - On Wednesday, February 5, the school hall will host this year's Barntown's Got Talent Show. Over 60 acts auditioned and 17 acts were chosen for the final. We wish them all the very best of luck. The show starts at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6.45 p.m. The charity which will benefit from the show is Aoibheann's Pink Tie. A bucket collection will take place on the night. Refreshments will also be served - thanks to our supportive parents' association.

THREE ROCKS TRAIL RELAUNCH DATE - Barntown Heritage Group has decided to officially relaunch the Three Rocks Trail on Saturday, May 30, at 2 p.m. This date will coincide with the 222-year anniversary of the famous 1798 Battle of Three Rocks.
The group also plans to hold the first official walk with guides across the upgraded 13.5km trail on Sunday, May 31.
Further details on these events will be published over the coming months, so we ask you to save the dates, as it promises to be a great weekend.
