Our Junior Hurlers played Buffers Alley on Saturday 16th April in the League losing by a few points. Later that day the Intermediate Hurlers played Our Ladys Island and won by eight points. The following day the Junior Hurlers played Rathnure in Adamstown and won by 9 points in the Championship. Well done to all concerned.


Adamstown/Raheen Prayer Group meets every Sunday in St Abbans Oratory from 7pm to 8pm, all are welcome.


Owen Doyle was born 83 years ago in Barmoney, Galbally, Eldest Son of Ann and Nicholas, Begerin Lodge, Castlebridge. Owen was raised by his cousin Peg in a loving home provided by his grandparents Anastasia and Myles Noctor, Rathkyle. Having spent most of his adult live in London, he returned home and rekindled his closeness with Peggy. All were taken by his gentle demeanor. Owen is survived by his Brothers: Jim, Nicholas and Pat and his Sisters Ely, Kitty and Statia. Owen was laid to rest in St Abbans Cemetery. May He Rest In Peace.
