New video from Wexford's working class heroes

WEXFORD's Corner Boy will bring their lively brand of folk-rock to Dublin for the Hard Working Class Heroes festival on the first weekend of October.

They are among 100 bands picked for the festival which showcases the best of Ireland's music talent. Previous participants have included Hozier, The Coronas, and Villagers.

The gig comes at a busy time for Corner Boy who have now launched an official video for their single 'Untie The Noose', released in May.

Shot on location in Kilmore and Oulart through June and July, the video is directed by Wexford writer Paul O'Brien (of 'Blood Red Turns Dollar Green' trilogy fame), with Ted Moran, the creative director at local company Highwind Media, in the producer's chair.

Corner Boy's banjo player Matthew O'Brien and Wexford actress Danielle Robinson, a native of Bernadette Place, take centre stage in the video's lead roles.

The Wexford band, who have been busy on the festival circuit through the summer, also visited the RTE television studios for an appearance on 'Saturday Night With Miriam'.

You can check out that performance, and the 'Untie The Noose' video, on Corner Boy's facebook page.
