After almost one month in business, Brian describes the experience of opening up his own pharmacy as something which he always wanted to do, despite the current economic challenges.

Brian's father Dr. Frank Hogan and sister Meave both work as G.P.s in Tagoat, so Brian's decision to enter a medical profession was a natural choice.

Brian's wife Therese also works within the medical profession as an I.N.D.I. registered dietician and is available for private consultations at the adjacent Faythe Medical Centre.

After picking up the Uniphar Best Student award whilst studying at the University of Sunderland, Brian went on to gain experience in a hospital, working for a period at the Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital before he returned to Wexford in 2001.

During the past ten years whilst continuing to work within the profession in Wexford, he also went on to attain a Masters in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons.
