Over 90 County Wexford businesswomen and entrepreneurs attended a networking event in Newbay House on National Women's Enterprise Day.
The event was organised by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) and was addressed by Mary Walsh of Ire Wel Pallets Ltd (National Women's Enterprise Day Ambassador), Dr. Ciara Clancy of Beats Medical; Emer Doyle, international coach, Áine Breen of Liwu Jewellery and Charoula Kolonia of Dental Tech.
The theme of this year's initiative was 'Making it Happen' with the aim of inspiring more women in Ireland to start and grow their own businesses.
Liz Hore of Wexford Local Enterprise Office said National Women's Enterprise Day which is now in its 13th year, is an important milestone in the LEO annual calendar.
'It gives us the opportunity to highlight the success stories of women in County Wexford who continue to do amazing things in business, across every sector', she said.
'The day itself is also an opportunity for businesswomen to network, engage, share tips and advice and learn more about the supports that are available for their businesses through their Local Enterprise Office', she said.
National Women's Enterprise Day is one of many initiatives of the Local Enterprise Offices which foster entrepreneurship and assist companies to start up and grow They are funded by the Government through Enterprise Ireland.
