The Duck Restaurant at Marlfield House has been awarded the National Gold Medal Award for 'Best Casual Dining Experience'.
Director of Marlfield, Margaret Bowe, who received the award from TV presenter Martin King, said the North Wexford restaurant 'has gone from strength to strength' since it was opened. 'We would like to thank our regular and occasional customers for their support over the years and the incredible team at the restaurant who are constantly working to maintain the highest of standards for our customers.'
Restored buildings beside Marlfield House took on a new lease of life in 2015 and a series of disused areas were developed by Margaret and her sister Laura Bowe for the award-winning restaurant. The Duck was named after their mother Mary's fondness for the ducks in their garden.
