There was a big boost for Wexford town based Drover Foods last week as it was named one of Ireland's best managed companies in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards programme.
The company was said to have demonstrated 'superior business performance' and was officially recognised at a gala awards dinner in Dublin. This year, 12 new companies joined a network of 136 companies that were awarded the status of best managed.
Commenting on the award, Anne Smyth, Managing Director of Drover Foods said: 'We are thrilled to receive this award, it's a reflection of how agile our business has been over the last few years. Three years ago we made 100 per cent pork based products, today 50 per cent of our production is in vegetarian products. Our management and staff have been hugely flexible and adaptable in embracing this change, as a business we are very proud of that. We are committed to constantly developing new products to excite our customers and appreciate their business over the past four decades.'
