ICA get jammy with sponsorship from preserves company

Award winning artisan preserves makers Wexford Home Preserves has announced that it is sponsoring the annual special occasion event and competition organised by the Wexford Federation ICA.

This very special event gives ICA members the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and artistic flair as the entrants design and develop displays along a given theme.

This year's theme is around the re-launching of a tea shop.

The ICA Special Occasion competition has been running since the 1970s and is very popular amongst members.

This year's event takes place on Thursday next, June 7, from 5 p.m. in Shamrock Community Hall in Killanerin.

It is co-hosted by Killanerin and Ballyfad ICA Guilds.

Laura Sinnott of Wexford Home Preserves commented: 'We are delighted to support Wexford Federation ICA in this wonderful event. The ICA shares many of our values - it is an extraordinary organisation that brings so much to its members' lives.'

The ICA was founded in Bree, County Wexford, by Anita Lett in 1910.

New members of all ages are always welcome. Spectators are welcome at the Special Occasion Competition on the night where there will be refreshments and entertainment.
