A New Ross make-up salon has won the best salon in the south of Ireland at a national awards ceremony.
Denise's Beauty Salon, in Ballylane, won the coveted prize at the second Irish Make-Up Awards hosted by model Andrea Hayes.
Picking up her award with a beaming smile on her face in front of a 400 strong crowd at Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport Hotel, Denise said she was thrilled to win it for her team, having beaten make up salons from the 12 counties of the south district.
Denise said: 'We are absolutely thrilled to be acknowledged in such prestigious awards coming up against some of the best in the industry. We also got awarded the industry top 100 in the hi-sytle awards on Sunday night coming for hair and beauty salons across the whole country. And tonight we found out that we are finalists in the Irish Hair and Beauty awards 2019 for "Best Beauty Salon" coming up in August of this year. It's been a fantastic year of achievements and my dedicated team of girls deserve these and so much more.'
A spokesperson of the Irish Make-Up Awards said: 'The make-up industry plays a vital role in the Irish economy and we are honoured to see that our attempt to acknowledge and reward the meritorious professionals of the sector has been successful. We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements!'
