An Post branches in Wexford to expand their services

Following an agreement with Postmasters, An Post announced 26 Offices across county Wexford will expand their services.

Customers can access An Post's commission-free foreign exchange cash and Post FX cards, making it cheaper and easier to carry holiday spending money in US, Australian or Canadian dollars, or UK sterling.

Debbie Byrne, managing director of An Post retail, said a survey confirmed customers concerns about security and safety for their holiday spending money.

In the survey, customers ranked the most important features of PostFX cards being safer to carry than cash; cheaper to use for payments abroad than a credit or debit card; commission free with no hidden charges; peace of mind as one can only spend the amount loaded in advance of the card; security as it is not linked to a bank account or personal details; other features include online top-up and 24/7 customer service.

Ms Byrne said: 'While some cash is handy, a PostFX currency card guarantees financial security and convenience throughout the trip, without the heft transaction or ATM fees payable on regular debit or credit card transaction abroad.

'PostFX has quickly become as much a part of the holiday planning and packing as sunscreen and passports. Clearly cash security and no commission are the two areas where the PostFX card is a winner.'

Ms Byrne added that An Post will be introducing more services in the coming months.

The Post FX currency card is available at the post offices in Anne Street, Barrack Street and North Main Street in Wexford town, Bannow, Castlebridge, Murrintown, Rosslare Harbour, Taghmon, Wellingtonbridge, Mill Park Road and Duffry Street in Enniscorthy, Gorey, New Ross, Ballycanew, Bree, Bunclody, Camolin, Clonroche, Courtown Harbour, Ferns, Fethard on Sea, Kilmuckridge, Ramsgrange, The Ballagh, Campile and Bridgetown.
