AirconMech wins major national award

A facilities management company with its head office in Co Wexford has won a major national award.

AirconMech, which is based out of Kilcannon Business Park on the old Dublin Road, in Enniscorthy, won the 'Specialist FM Service Provider of the Year' award at this year's national Facilities Management Awards.

The facilities management sector is worth an estimated €1.2bn and has experience considerable growth in recent years. The awards, which have been going since 2014, were set up to acknowledge and recognise companies that strive for excellence within the sector.

The prestigious awards ceremony was held in the Ballsbridge Hotel where the Wexford company beat two other finalists in their category to secure the title.

In addition to the award it won the company was also shortlisted for the 'Overall Excellence in Facilities Management' award.

Speaking about the company, the MC on the night, Colm O'Regan, said it was obvious to the judges from the testimonials presented to them that customer service and satisfaction is placed at the forefront of the company's operations.

'They wanted to reward all of the hard work and dedication that went into making the company what it is,' said Mr O'Regan.

Speaking about the award the joint managing directors of the company, John Dempsey and Jim Mullett, said: 'The award is the result of a considerable team effort'.

They also said they were 'extremely proud' of everyone involved in making the company progress for over two decades.
