€35k for local food and drink start-ups

Food and drink entrepreneurs from across the county are being invited to enrol in this year's Food Works programme which will now provide €35,000 in funding for all participants.

This funding is in addition to the supports already offered by the programme, including in-depth consultancy and advice from the three agencies involved (Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc), access to consumer and market research, and mentoring with industry experts.

Prospective companies from Wexford are invited to a final introductory meeting in Bord Bia on January 27 before applications close on February 7.

Speaking about the 2020 Food Works programme, Louis Eivers, Development Advisor at Enterprise Ireland, said, 'We would urge all food entrepreneurs interested in the programme to register their interest via the website and to attend the introductory meeting to find out more about this unique opportunity.' Interested companies can register to attend the meeting in Bord Bia's Dublin offices on January 27 at https://foodworksireland.ie/
