GAA Scene

Following on its final league game and victory over Bannow-Ballymitty the St Fintan’s junior hurling team travelled to Oylegate on Saturday evening last to take on Davidstown-Courtnacuddy in the quarter final in the championship.

On the Coiste scene the nursery group (under-seven, under-nine) of Our Lady’s Island/St Fintan’s continue their training each Wednesday evening in Ballymore at 6.30 p.m. The boys and girls under-nine hurlers played in Grantstown on Sunday week last in less than favourable conditions but enjoyed the game no less. The under-13 hurling team travelled to Tagoat during the past week to take on St Mary’s and though they battled hard found the home side too strong.
