THE members of Bree Hunt in County Wexford showcased their caring and charitable nature recently when they handed over a cheque to a very worthy cause.

The organisation held a hunt at the Still, in Enniscorthy, which raised €7,400 for the Parent's and Friends of St. Anthony's Unit CWCW [now Reach Ability].

A spokesperson for the hunt said there were 50 mounted horses involved in the event and they were supported by a large number of followers in cars.

Following the event itself there was auction in the Still pub which also contributed a large amount to the fund.

“We do it every year and it’s been ongoing for years,” said the spokesperson.

The organisers were delighted with the success of the event and in particular expressed great satisfaction in being able to present a very worthy organisation with a sizeable amount of money.
