COURTOWN HIBS joined near neighbours Killenagh Wanderers in the Boland Carpets Cup final when they overcame holders Kiltealy Celtic 4-3 after extra-time on Wednesday.
In a ding-dong battle, both sides produced some fast-paced attacking football, and the sizeable crowd had seven goals to celebrate with the home side edging the result.
Orlagh Kehoe scored two for Kiltealy with Rachel Casey also on target, while Lynne Dunne and Marian Cardiff netted two each for the winners.
In one of the most competitive seasons ever, Shelburne United produced their eleventh win of the campaign to eventually clinch the Division 1 title.
In a very tense and dogged battle with Wexford Bohs, a team who had title ambitions of their own, Katie Murphy gave the home side the lead just before half-time.
Bohs showed their character by battling back to level through Jessica Sinnott, but Leah Byrne had the final say when she stayed calm in front of goal to score what proved to be the winner.
League administrator Peter Doyle was on hand to present the victorious captain with the league trophy.
