THE ONGOING progress of Festy Ebosele with Udinese is further reflected in his inclusion on head coach Jim Crawford’s 20-man Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for the international friendly against Iceland in Turner’s Cross on Sunday, March 26.

The squad also includes former Wexford FC shot-stopper Jimmy Corcoran, who is now plying his trade with Cork City – with the club set to host an international at this level for the first time in 14 years.

Meanwhile, Ferrycarrig Park will play host to all three UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifiers this week, for any locals interested in closely watching the country’s finest performers at that level.

Ireland will face Slovakia today (Wednesday) at 3.30 p.m., Estonia on Saturday at the same time, and Greece on Tuesday, March 28, at 7.30 p.m.

Ex-Glynn Barntown player Oisín McDonagh, now with Shamrock Rovers, is included on the Under-15 international squad for home friendlies against Latvia yesterday (Tuesday) and Thursday.

And the squad of 20 heading to south-west France for three round two games in the UEFA Under-17 women’s qualifiers features Grace Fitzpatrick-Ryan of Wexford Youths.

They will play Kosovo in Tarnos on Thursday at 12 noon, before returning to the same venue to face Italy on Sunday (12 noon), and France on Wednesday (2 p.m.).
