Brian Moore is back in the octagon on Friday evening, looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Nikita Mikhailov and Jornel Lugo when he faces Arivaldo Lima De Silva in the 3Arena.

This will be ‘The Pikeman’s first bout since that loss in February and he’ll be hoping to light up Bellator 285 in another live TV appearance for the journeyman professional.

Both of Moore’s last two opponents have lost since facing the Wexford man, having had stellar records previously, but De Silva is a different type of opposition, someone with a lot of experience in the professional game.

‘Carnica’ as he is known had his first fight a full 15 years ago and boasts a 19 wins and nine losses record heading into this bout. However, he hasn’t fought at either UFC or Bellator level and this could be his big chance.

He is currently on a five-fight winning run, seeing off Wagner Lima in his last bout, the only one of the five that went the distance. So, if the 40-year-old De Silva is on a late career upturn, he could prove to be a tricky opponent for Moore.

Despite losing his last two encounters, Moore has a record of 14 wins and nine losses to his name. In his ten Bellator fights he has a 50-50 win-loss record since joining the tour in 2016.
