A student in FCJ Bunclody has presented €7,627 to the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Enniscorthy from sales of a calendar he compiled as part of his TY mini-company initiative.
Josh Rothwell, produced a 2023 Hope Calendar which was sold in various retail outlets throughout Wexford.
He was very happy with how well received the calendar was with the public and he took great delight in being able to hand over the money to the Hope Centre.
Josh expressed particular thanks to the businesses who sponsored his calendar and especially those that offered their support early because that allowed him to focus on engaging as many outlets as he could manage to sell his calendar.
Josh also expressed thanks to Ken Hayes who provided him with the beautiful photos and helped promote the project. He also acknowledged the support he received from his school mates who joined him on occasions with his Hope buckets and who helped raising the money.
The various businesses who sponsored his project included: Ashmore Mortgag & Financial Services; Beechdale Garden Centre; Enniscorthy Cleaners; Enniscorthy Credit Union; Gethings Garda Ltd.; H Murphy Wholsesale Cash & Carrry, (Enniscorthy and New Ross); J Donohoe BMW; Ken’s Computer Clinic; Little Treasures Creche & Afterschool; Pettitt’s SuperValu, Enniscorthy; Pool & Spa (Old Dublin Road, Enniscorthy); Riverside Park Hotel; The Village at Wheelocks; Tommy Williamson Farm & Landscape Supplies, and Walter Furlong Grain Company.
