While there's been quite a bit of anger and frustration around spiralling rents across Co Wexford, one listing has been generating more discussion and debate than all others.
A four bedroom bungalow with a one bed garden studio in Rosslare Strand has been listed for rent on Daft.ie at an eye-watering cost of €4,900 per month.
The property has been made available for short-term lease for a minimum of six months to a maximum of eight months from October 1 of this year.
Should someone opt to rent the house for the minimum required six months, it would earn a tidy €29,400 gross for its owner, rising to €39,200 for the longer eight months.
Undoubtedly a stunning property in a sought after location, the listing has sparked some anger on social media where people are desperately appealing for any homes to rent across the county as affordable accommodation becomes more and more scarce.
The listing shows a beautiful home, with picturesque gardens and even a treehouse and slide for the kids, also mentioning that a cleaning and laundry service can be supplied at additional cost.
The ad further states that any prospective tenants “must have excellent references and a substantial deposit”.
