New Ross Ramblers Hillwalking & Hiking club held their third AGM, with officials appointed for the year ahead.

Elected for this coming season were chairman Tom O Sullivan, secretary Dick Brazil, treasurer Ivan Dungan and training/travel officer Kathleen Higginbotham.

Most of the group are retired and are both male and female who meet up every Tuesday (weather permitting) and go walking. The club has a mixture of walks, hillwalks, river walks and beach walks.

“To date, we have done walks on Camino, Switzerland, Crete, and Wales. Due to Covid the club travel has been curtailed this year, when travel in Ireland was allowed again this year we have done, Giants Causeway, walked the River Dodder in Dublin, the Howth Head loop, and are just back from walks in the Burren,” Mr Brazil said.
