Once again Pearse Park and the Library Park in New Ross have been judged to be the best amenity areas in County Wexford.

The 2021 Green Flag Awards were announced on Wednesday by An Taisce Environmental Education, acknowledging Ireland’s best public Parks and Gardens and in New Ross.

Only 103 sites in Ireland were successful and the New Ross parks are the only ones in County Wexford to have the awards.

Only awarded for exceeding tough environmental standards in green space management, and excellence of visitor attractions – the Green Flag Award Scheme is the mark of a quality park or green space and is recognised throughout the world.
