A charity day fundraiser held at New Ross Golf Club by Lady Captain Teenie Murphy raised €3,000 for Pieta House.

A cheque for this sum was handed over to Olive Ruane, Fundraising Representative from Pieta, at the golf club recently by Teenie.

“It was a tremendous success and the total raised included tee times, donations and a raffle,” said Teenie.

“This is such a worthy cause and we are very proud to be able to hand over this money, which we hope will help in some way, to provide counselling for people who are suicidal, people engaging in self-harming behaviours, and people who are bereaved by suicide.

“Pieta is a wonderful charity which is vital in our world today where people are under immense pressure as they go about their daily lives. We are delighted to be able to support this charity,” Teenie said.
