The “Hot Shots” photography group recently handed over a cheque for €2,500 to County Wexford Hospice Homecare Services. This money was raised from the sale of their ‘Wexford in Mind – 2022 Calendar’ which they produced in aid of County Wexford Hospice Homecare Services and in memory of one of the group’s founding members Chris Clarke, who sadly passed away in May 2020.
The calendar was funded by Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board’s (WWETB) Community Education Programme and the group said they are “incredibly grateful” to the WWETB for its continuous work in promoting community educational opportunities outside the formal education setting. “This support allows groups such as the Hot Shots, which comprises of parents and grandparents of students at Bridgetown College, to grow their photographic skills,” said Fiona Walsh.
The group meet at the AOH Hall in Bridgetown on Monday mornings under the tutelage of Paula Malone-Carty and the calendar project was the culmination of months of work by the group during lockdown. The group are extremely proud to have sold-out all the calendars printed and hope that they bring 12 months of enjoyment to the people who bought them and helped such a worthy local cause.
County Wexford Hospice Homecare Services thanked the group for their fund-raising efforts and reiterated that all monies raised in the county stay in the county with every cent raised going to nursing care.
