The 2022 AGM of the Wexford Constituency Fine Gael took place in White’s Hotel, attended by over 200 people.

Outgoing Chairperson, Avril Doyle, welcomed the wexford party members and Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris.

Deputy Paul Kehoe welcomed the attendance of Fine Gael General Secretary John Carroll, Young Fine Gael Vice President and Galway East Constituency Chair Shane Dolphin and Minister Harris.

The election of officers was chaired by Shane Dolphin. The position of Chairperson was contested by Edel Gahan from the Killmuckridge District and Harry Twomey from the New Ross District.

After voting by delegates Harry Twomey was deemed elected. The other officers elected were, Vice Chair John Dreelin, Secretary Steven Murphy, Assistant Secretary Elaine Clarke, Treasurers James Grannel and Joe Tully, Policy Officer Aaron Reville, Equality & Disability Officer Lesley Power, Youth Officer Beibhinn Bryne, Agricultural Delegates Edel Gahan and Harry Carty.

The position of chair was handed over to Harry Twomey. Harry thanked Avril for her many years of service to the party. He thanked Minister  Harris, Deputy Kehoe and Cllr Jim Moore for all their work in the establishment of the South East Technical University.

Harry thanked everyone for attending the AGM, saying he looked for forward to working for the party for the coming year.
