Students from Bridgetown College will have an opportunity to study abroad as part of a new exchange programme with a French school. Under the proposal, which is a joint venture between the Rosslare Municipal District and the Dunkirk Urban Community, 15 students and two teachers from Bridgetown College would travel to France to spend a week with host families learning and experiencing the culture of the country.
In turn, the same number of pupils and teachers would come from the Lycée Jean Bart College in Dunkirk to spend time in Wexford. It is hoped the first exchanges will take place in spring of 2023. It is also proposed to twin a class from each college through an eTwinning project. eTwinning is a free platform connecting teachers across Europe to work on joint projects in any curricular area and is co-funded by the Erasmus programme.
