A case involving a man from north Wexford charged in connection with an alleged assault was adjourned when it went before a recent sitting of Gorey District Court.

Michael Earle, Annagh Lane, Killenagh, is charged with alleged assault causing harm arising out of an incident that occurred at Porter’s Bar, Killenagh, on October 2, 2021.

Sergeant Stephen Ennis told Judge John Cheatle that on the date mentioned people were socialising in the bar and it will be alleged the defendant struck another person in the face.

Judge Cheatle adjourned the case, for a plea or a hearing date, to July 19. He also granted solicitor, Lana Doherty, a disclosure order in the matter.
