Case involving Dublin man charged with alleged theft of beer in Wexford is adjourned

A case involving a man from Dublin charged with stealing a four-pack of beer from a supermarket in a County Wexford town was adjourned when it went before a sitting of Gorey District Court.

Brendan Sweeney, 3 St Gerard's Road, Walkinstown, Dublin 12, is charged in relation to the alleged theft of a four-pack of Coors beer from SuperValu, Main Street, Gorey, on January 15, 2023.

Sergeant Stephen Ennis told Judge John Cheatle the goods were valued at €8.50.

Solicitor, Lana Doherty asked for a disclosure order in the case an told the judge her client had another matter coming before the court on May 17.

The judge then adjoured the case to that date, for a plea or a hearing date to be fixed.
