Bench warrant issued for Gorey man who didn’t show up for court
A bench warrant was ordered to issue at a recent sitting of Gorey District Court for a defendant who failed to appear. Matthew Connick, 36 Old Garden City, Gorey, is charged with committing an alleged theft offence at St Michael’s Church, St Michael’s Road, Gorey, on March 22, 2020. When the defendant failed to turn up in courtSergeant Gary Raynor said the case was before the court on foot of a bench warrant and commented: “I would be seeking a further warrant.” Judge Cheatle issued the warrant.
