‘Rituals’ store coming to town centre in the New Year
The multi-national cosmetics company Rituals is to open a shop on Wexford’s Main Street in the New Year, in a vote of confidence in the town’s retail sector.
Kehoe and Associates auctioneers have recently agreed a long-term lease deal with the company on a premises at 7 South Main Street, formerly occupied by O’ Neill’s souvenirs and newsagents, and adjacent to Boots. It is expected that work on the fit-out of the Wexford premises will start this week.
Rituals – which has an outlet in Kildare Village – is an international luxury body and home cosmetics retailer.
Colum Murphy, managing director of Kehoe and Associates who negotiated the lease agreement on behalf of the landlord described it as “exciting news for Wexford town”.
“Rituals will be a great addition to the Main Street and will further enhance the town’s retail offering. Our town centre is unique with an excellent blend of national, multi-national and indigenous retailers. It is a huge boost of confidence in Wexford, particularly after the past 18 months, which has been exceptionally tough for the retail sector”, he said.
A spokesperson for Rituals said the company hopes to open the Wexford store in early 2022.
