Coolgreany Amateur Drama Society is putting on a performance of the award-winning “A Night Without Stars” this weekend to help raise funds for Wexford Rape Crisis Centre.

The show will take place at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, in Inch Hall and tickets cost €10.

The performance takes place ahead of the All Ireland One Act Drama finals in December, which the play has qualified for.

Carl Nuzum stars as the misunderstood lead trying to get on in a world that he seems to be on the outside of. A mix of dark comedy and tragedy, the play explores how our actions can have life-long consequences.

Directed by Ned Dempsey, Carl shares the stage with Eadaoin Ni Lionain, Norah Finn and Eamonn O’Sheil while Eddie O’Brien is on lighting, Nick Delaney is on sound and Denise Moules is stage manager.

As the play touches directly on the theme of child rape and sexual assault, it was decided that profits from all ticket sales will go directly to the Wexford Rape Crisis Centre.
