Calls for more to be spent on Christmas lights this year
COUNCILLOR Diarmuid Devereux said that more money should be spent on Christmas lighting and decorations in 2022.
Speaking at the January meeting of Gorey Kilmuckridge Municipal District, he began by saying well done to the team on their Christmas presentation around the town.
"It’s great credit to all as it was a fantastic presentation, one of the best we’ve had yet. The business community are hammering on our door about more money being spent on this and I’d have to agree with them that it should be spent”.
He asked for the matter to be put on the agenda sometime in 2022.
