ST MULLINS GAA team members were among the models at a fundraising fashion show for the club at the Brandon Hose Hotel.

The first big club event since 2018 drew a big crowd who enjoyed the fantastic range of winter fashion from Barron's Graiguenamanagh, Amy Jane’s Boutique, Blossoms Ladieswear Boutique and Mister H Menswear, Bonita boutique, Clotheslines Boutique and T-Squared Menswear.

Elise Ryan and Staff at Secret Sanctuary hair and beauty provided all models with complementary hair and make up for the night.

All the models on the night from juveniles to juniors to intermediate and senior players took it all in their stride.

The prize for best dressed lady who thoroughly deserved it was local St Mullins lady Birdie Ryan of Ballycrinnigan.

The organisers, on behalf of St Mullins GAA for the fashion show on the night, were Helen Ryan, Liz Kehoe, Collette Redmond, Stephanie Moran and Joan Doyle. Stephanie said: “There was a great turnout; young and old. It was a very good success. We got a lot of prizes sponsored for the door prize and the raffle.”

The fundraiser took place ahead of this Sunday’s historic Croke Park match against Kilmacud Crokes in the senior hurling club semi final, after the team defeated Ferns in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow. Excitement is building in the community ahead of the big day in the capital with the club flags flying.

Stephanie said: “We were very happy with what we raised. We want to thank the team at the Brandon House Hotel, all of the shops who participated and everyone who donated. They all truly deserve a massive thank you for their generosity and continued support to the club.”
