St Louis Day Care Centre in south Wexford holds open day

St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange held on Open Day in conjunction with the annual Alzheimer’s Tea Day on Thursday.
A large crowd attended and €645 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Guest speakers on the day were Natalia Gembicka from ALONE and Sally Veale Senior Social Worker from the Wexford Memory Support Service who both gave advice in their areas and were on hand to answer any queries.
To lend their support and launch Wexford Dementia Café in St. Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange Y34H283 on Thursday, May 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. were Cllr Michael Whelan and New Ross Municipal District Manager Alan Fitzhenry.
"This will be the first dementia café to be held in County Wexford since before Covid,” said St Louis centre manager, Laura Rowe. The café will be held on the second Thursday of each month in the centre, providing a warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends, social and health care professionals to meet, exchange ideas, chat, have a cup of tea.
