New Ross woman suffers facial injury during assaullt

GARDAÍ are investigating an alleged assault in the Irishtown area of New Ross in which a young woman suffered a facial injury.
Insp Shay Keevans said a man in his twenties was arrested and detained at New Ross Garda Station following the incident earlier this month.
He appeared at a special sitting of Gorey District Court on a charge of assault causing harm.
"The woman received treatment for a facial injury following the incident in the Irishtown area."
