St Blaise

Fr Dan Cavanagh will give the blessing of the throats after the 10 a.m. Mass that morning and again at the Saturday evening Mass in Tullogher (7 p.m.) and at the 11 a.m. Sunday morning Mass in Rosbercon. The Giving Tree
After an absence of three years due to the Covid Pandemic it was great to see the Giving Tree in the Church of the Assumption Rosbercon at Christ6ma time again. The response was hugely generous and over 70 gifts were delivered to the residents of the Community and New Houghton Hospitals in New Ross. Rosbercon Parish Pastoral Council wish to thank all parishioners who responded brilliantly in returning the requested gifts. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are much appreciated. A special thanks to Noreen Murphy who prepared the tags with the named gifts thereon. The Giving Tree has been a feature of Christmas time in the church for a long number of years and it was great to see in back in its old stand once again.

The tragic death last week of James Nolan from Clara was felt with deep regret throughout Kilkenny and indeed much further beyond. The talented sportsman lost his young life in a car crash only a mile or two from his home. Here, in our own parish deepest sympathy goes to his aunt, Brigid Ryan from Tinneranny, and the rest of the Nolan family in their great and sudden loss.
