Competition starts the next morning where Ireland will be placed into a group of four nations and play a round robin to determine seedlings for knockout stage of the Championships. Ireland will be a low seed for this group so will play some of the top nations. It’s then on the knockout stage to see how far Ireland can advance.

This will be Ken’s second World Championships having competed in Costa Rica three years ago with Ireland finishing 14th.

Ken also captained Team Ireland to gold medal in the European championships in Hamburg, Germany, two years ago where he took home a gold and a silver medal.
