RUNNERS from all over the county are expected to assemble under the cover of darkness on Wexford’s quayfront next week as the annual Wexford Credit Union gets up and running.
The race will take place on Thursday, February 9, starting at 7.30 p.m. running along the quay and out the Rosslare Road and back again. Always a favourite on the running calendar, organisers are hopeful of a big turnout with funds raised going to two great causes in the form of the High Meadows Community Hub in Clonard and the Irish Kidney Association.
Registration is now open via popupraces.ie and costs €25 for adults, including a t-shirt and chip-timing, and €10 for U16s, including a t-shirt but no timing. A family entry is also available for two adults and two children is also available for €90 and all tickets exclude a 7% booking fee.
The availability of race t-shirts is limited so people are urged to book early and avoid disappointment. However, on the day registration will also be available after online entries close, from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on the day.
