A great evening was had by all in the Horse & Hound on Wednesday night as New Ross Musical Society hosted a fundraising cookery demonstration with celebrity chef Edward Hayden.

Hayden, from Graiguenamanagh, had the audience captivated with his excellent humour and even better culinary knowledge as he demonstrated some wonderful festive dishes and gave excellent tips on Christmas dinner preparations.

Five lucky audience members got to take home one dish each - not including the man running the show! The night was a great social occasion with everyone enjoying the event.

The raffle on the night comprised of prizes generously donated by each stall with first prize being a voucher sponsored by the Horse & Hound.

The organising committee wishes to thank all those who attended the night, to Hayden for such a wonderful evening, Brendan, David and team at the Horse & Hound for their great hospitality, Ann Joyce in Joyce’s Home Centre for sponsoring the kitchen, Anthony Quinn AV for sound, vision and lights and Tomas, Sean and team at St Michael’s Theatre for facilitating ticket sales.  Much needed funds for New Ross Musical Society’s March 2023 production 'Chaplin' were raised. Rehearsals for the show begin next week in New Ross.
