The inaugural New Ross Guitar Festival has officially launched its ticket sales for the upcoming events.

Concerts take place from August 11 to August 14, with the first concert on August 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Ballykelly church featuring Ireland's leading classical guitarist, John Feeley.

This concert will be opened by festival artistic director and former student of John, David Creevy. David will play a short introductory programme and accompany John in a duet before John plays solo.

David said: "It's such a thrill for me to have John perform in New Ross. I'm delighted that we can showcase the intimate sound of the guitar in the beautiful acoustics of Ballykelly Church. I'd like to thank Fr. O'Leary and the parish council for their permission and support."
