Mystery over dead horse found on rural County Wexford road

Motorists in the Ferns area were shocked to come across a deceased horse on the road on Sunday, with the mystery yet to be solved as to how it landed there.
A spokesperson for Gorey Garda Station confirmed that they received a report of a dead horse at Kilthomas, Ferns at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Gardaí attended the scene and found a deceased grey horse lying on the road. It did not appear that it had been struck by anything and there was no person in the vicinity when the gardaí arrived.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the ownership of the animal.
WSCPA inspector Cabrini Desmond said that the organisation had not received any reports about the incident.
