The late Mai Mooney R.I.P

The editorial team at the Guardian newspaper would like to extend its sympathy to the family of the late Mary (Mai) Mooney, who compiled the notes for Monamolin for many years, right up to this last week before her passing.

Mai was a most dedicated district news correspondent for the area, and her dilligence ensured that any event in the parish was well covered in the notes.

Beloved wife of the late Ger and loving mother of Liam and Seán, she will be sadly missed by her sons, grandchild Kade, daughter-in-law Joann, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her funeral took place on Saturday May 6 at St Moling’s Church, Monamolin. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

The community would ike to extend their deepest sympathy to the Heather family, on the recent passing of their beloved mother Catherine. Thinking of you all at this difficult time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
